This is an important opportunity for us to consider the additional challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and asking how we ensure that we maintain progress towards the WHO’s Global action plan. During the 75-minute session, ADI’s CEO Paola Barbarino will chair a panel discussion featuring key speakers, including DAI’s Chair, CEO and co-founder Kate Swaffer, representatives from the WHO, IFPMA and government representatives from Iceland, Japan, Kenya, Korea and Qatar. The panel will share their insights on this important topic, reflecting on the challenges and opportunities posed by the global COVID-19 pandemic for people living with dementia around the world. The event will mark the launch of our new report, 'From plan to impact III: Maintaining dementia as a priority in unprecedented times'. It is an important opportunity to hear about national progress, development of dementia plans and COVID-19 response and to pose your questions. This will be a vital engagement for people living with dementia, carers, academics, researchers, government and policy officials, Alzheimer and dementia associations, NGOs and anyone affected by dementia.
