Carers Handbook for Northern Ireland
This Dementia Action Week we are pleased to launch a new carer’s handbook for Nothern Ireland. The handbook is for anyone caring for someone with dementia. The handbook puts in one place all the information you may need. As well as containing useful information you can look up relevant information in your local area.
The idea came from carers who were exhausted from having to search for the information they needed, particularly when they didn’t have the time or energy for it.
The handbook is organised into relevant information. You can print off the pages you need or access it all online.
“There are too many hoops, places to look, people to speak to and different services to know about. My mind is crowded with the phone calls, the appointments, the chasing and remembering”
As said by a carer
Thanks to all the carers, tide Northern Ireland and the funders Public Health Agency who made this happen.
If you would like a printed copy please email carers@tidecarers.org.uk
Please note this information is correct May 2021. This document will be reviewed to ensure it stays up to date.
